“The Virtual Hermitage” is a multimedia program on a PC-USB stick that will enable users to make a tour of the rooms of St. Petersburg’s greatest art museum – The State Hermitage. Around thirty rooms of the museum were painstakingly photographed and recreated in three-dimensions. One can visit the luxurious interiors of the former residence of the Russian Tsars and the rooms where works by Italian Renaissance artists and by French avant-garde painters of the 19th and 20th centuries are exhibited. This virtual visit to the museum will allow one to learn a lot about the collections and about the famous artists whose works are represented in The Hermitage.
